ASEL gives the lowdown on acrylic—and more—at the Golden Artist Workshop!
Aspiring and practicing artists alike are invited to participate at the Golden Artist Workshop on Saturday, February 10, from 10:30am to 12:30pm. The lecture and demonstration—which is absolutely FREE-OF-CHARGE, is presented by ASEL Art Supply and will be led by certified National Educational Coordinator for Golden Artist Colors Kevin Greeland. It will be held at the Asel Art Supply on Cedar Springs Rd. Dallas, TX.
The lecture has an extensive coverage. Participants can look forward to learning about:
- Different types of acrylic paint, including formulations, pigments and related viscocities
- Color theory, color reality, drying time, health & safety
- Application (i.e. as grounds for water color, colored pencil and pastels)
- Technical review of acrylics
- Maximizing paint life -Mixing and matching with other paint types
- Product reviews

ABOUT THE LECTURER: Kevin Greeland is a well-versed practicing artist. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science in Art Education degree. He was an art professor at both the Memphis College of Art and Vanderbilt University, where he also served as Assistant Director of the Sarratt Studio
